I've had my Water General RO585 for over 10 years and its still working great. Recently my 1st stage clear filter casing started to leak at the very bottom. After researching I found that its highly recommended to change out the filter casings every 5 years...mine lasted over 10. I ordered all three filter casings and its working perfect again. I've also had independent water quality test done on this unit and the results are excellent. My advice to anyone purchasing this unit is when ordering, order the first filter casing in clear rather than white. This will give you a good indication of how much sediment is in your water source and when to change the filters. I'm extremely pleased that Filter Direct still carries this unit and all replaceable parts. A++
