Instruction for Refilling the 215 Inline DI filter

1. Turn off the water supply and turn off the tank valve (if there is pressure tank)

2. Disconnect tubing from both ends of the filter by unscrewing off the compression nut.

3. Unscrew one end of the cap and throw away the DI resin. Please make sure the O-ring stays in place.

4. Rinse and clean the inside of the filter casing, the cap, and the thread of the filter.

5. Refill new DI resin using a spoon or just pour in the resin to 99% full and compact the resin.

6. Clean and remove any excess resin on the threads using a brush.

7. Make sure the O-ring is in place on the cap or on its proper location.

8. Screw on the cap tight by hand.

9. Connect the tubing back and turn on the water supply and tank valve (if there is a pressure tank)

10. Check for leaks. If there is a leak at the cap. Screw the cap tighter, or unscrew the cap off and align the O-ring and try again.

Note:

DI resin should be refilled when the resin color changed to dark brown or black color, or when TDS reading became higher than your acceptable range.

For example, if TDS reading before the DI filter is 30 ppm, and after DI the TDS is about 25 to 30 ppm then it’s time to replace it.
